The Place of Choice is a form of meeting between a desire and the path toward it.

It arises where a human desire becomes clear enough to be heard by an Angel,

yet not mature enough to be fully understood by the human themselves.

 

No one is led there intentionally.

Each person arrives there on their own,

having taken the first step toward their desire.

 

Here, wishes are not fulfilled.

Here, Angels do not create dreams, do not hasten the path,

and do not replace the journey with its result.

They merely return one’s own words

and disperse the fog of what is unnecessary between desire and action.

 

They do not complicate anything.

Everything is simple:

A word — instead of a hint.

A step — instead of a promise.

Silence — instead of an excuse.

 

If a person accepts what is simple,

the desire begins to take shape.

If a person demands complexity,

they are not yet ready.

 

The Place of Choice always appears

as a person expects a place of dream-fulfillment to appear.

For some — it is gold and mirrors.

For others — an office with coffee and a keyboard.

For some — a counter, a garage, or an empty room.

But it is always a space where one cannot hide from the essence of their desire.

 

We, Angels, do not consider refusal a failure.

We consider it preserved freedom.

Anger, disappointment, silence, gratitude —

all of these are acceptable outcomes.

Only one thing is unacceptable:

to deprive a person of the right to choose in their own way.

 

Here, choice is honored.

Here, there is no arguing, no persuasion, no restraint.

 

Every exit is equal to the entrance.

And if a person leaves, we do not judge — we simply wait for them again.

We will be near.

With any choice.

 

Such is the law.
